Desguaces Cesar S.L is an authorized CAT center by the Catalonian board of waste with authorized solicitor nº E-404.97. When an owner has decided to get rid of his old vehicle, has the obligation to deliver it to an authorized treatment center and this one in turn has the obligation to treat it as stipulated by the Royal decree 1383/2002.
The Authorized Treatment Centers (CAT) are facilities that fulfill all law requirements to give an environmental friendly treatment to the vehicles at the end of his useful life. The process begins when the vehicle enters our yard.

• The first step is to check with traffic headquarters that the vehicle is free of handicaps. Forthwith we proceed with the Traffic Headquarters definitive fall form.
• Secondly, we proceed with the Destruction Certificate, issued by CAT where it is certified that the vehicle will be disinfected and destroyed as stipulated by the Royal decree 1383/2002.
• Thirdly, the vehicle goes on to the decontamination plant where all the liquids and pollutant gases are extracted for the environment’s health as: brake’s fluid, oils, antifreezes, air, plastic conditioning, glasses, etc storing every waste in the appropriate container.
• In fourth place, the vehicle goes on to the break-down zone where technicians will take out the pieces that can be re-used once tested by our experienced personnel exhaustive control.
• In fifth and last place the vehicle is compacted and fragmented to be sent to the smelting to turn it back into raw material.
